We currently have four old CPAP machines that are in constant use. Many of our premature and sick babies will spend the first few days of their lives attached to these machines until they can be gently weaned off and start to breathe independently. 
 
As this is one of the most used machines on Special Care, the committee of the SCBU fund believed this was an area where the monies donated could be best spent by insuring that all babies had access to the latest technically advanced machines.
 
All money donated this year will go towards purchasing these machines

We are launching a new appeal to fundraise for a new CPAP machines. Shaun Walter kick started the appeal by running the10 mile BUPA Great South Run in Portsmouth on October 26th 2008 and living to tell the tale!!
